Year 9

In year 9 our students imerse themselves in courses they choose

In Year 9 our students start their GCSE and Vocational courses, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in their chosen subjects.

We believe that starting this in Year 9 allows our students to concentrate on the subjects they enjoy, fostering a lifelong love of the subject, and allowing them to focus on attaining higher academic results.

Furthermore, our Subject Leads have greater flexibility in how their subject is taught, developing a curriculum over the three years that will embed knowledge and skills, and allow for long-term memory to be improved through revisiting topics more often.
