In year 9 our students imerse themselves in courses they choose

In Year 9 our students start their GCSE and vocational courses, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in their chosen subjects.  We believe this allows our students to concentrate on the subjects they enjoy, fostering a lifelong love of the subject, and allowing them to focus on attain higher accademic results.  Furthermore, our subject leads have greater flexibility in how their subject is taught, developing a curriculum over the three years that will embed knowledge and skills and allow for long-term memory to be improved through revisiting topics more often.
