Our Ethos

Our aim is to be the best comprehensive school in Cambridgeshire, within the next five years. We aim to do this by delivering our students with an education that unlocks their potential to obtain the best educational outcome for them. This mission is supported by our core values of:

Respect – For ourselves and others by showing respect to everyone within our community; to have pride in our history; and for our students to allow others to learn.

Resilience – For students to complete every piece of work to the best of their ability and embracing challenge and opportunities to achieve personal and academic success.

Responsibility – Ensuring our students care about the outcomes after leaving Bassingbourn Village College, to ensure they remain positive in both effort and attitude and have a desire to learn.

Our personalised curriculum has breadth and depth, supported by our 100 minute lessons, which allows for extended writing and practical learning, creating an environment for our students to flourish.

We strongly believe in working in partnership with parents and students that we can continue to build on the strong foundations we have at Bassingbourn Village College.
